Grant M. Daffin, CPA

Founder & CEO

Grant is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Minnesota and Colorado. He holds a B.S. in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell University and a M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Minnesota. Grant was a recipient of the Elijah Watt Sells Award for outstanding performance on the CPA exam.

​Grant began his career as an internal auditor at U.S. Bancorp in Minneapolis. He then moved to external auditing at Ernst & Young, originally in the Tulsa office and then in Denver. After Ernst & Young, Grant moved out of public accounting and worked in manufacturing at a private company supporting the operations to develop clean energy, filtration, and toxin removal products. As a result of this role, Grant gained extensive experience in all facets of sales and use tax.​

Throughout his career Grant has remained active as an income tax practitioner and advisor, and ultimately a passion for client service led him back to public practice to start this firm. Industry experience includes oil and gas, software and software as a service (SAAS), health and fitness, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, banking and financial services, e-commerce, consulting and professional services, real estate management, startups, and nonprofit.

Outside of the office, Grant is often hiking, snowboarding, boating, and traveling with his wife and kids.

Kathleen A. Daffin

Manager

Katie holds a B.S. in Applied Economics & Management, as well as a B.S. in Natural Resources, both from Cornell University.

Katie specializes in applied economics and operations management. Her experience includes multiple positions in the energy and utilities industries, both as a consultant to energy and utility clients and as an employee of a public utility company. In addition, she has extensive experience in operations management for small business manufacturing.

Client service is a strong suit of Katie’s, developed through years of experience in IT and other types of customer support. She has an uncanny ability to understand clients’ needs quickly and develop solutions for those needs. She is a highly valued member of our team and a major asset for our clients.

Katie is also a wife, mother, hockey player, and lover of live music and the outdoors.

Lynne Stein

Senior Accountant

Lynne has over 40 years of accounting and financial experience. She has worked for several of Silicon Valley’s high-tech companies, the airline industry, chemical manufacturing, and other organizations in both the public and private sectors.

Lynne has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Wichita State University and is currently pursuing CPA certification.

She is a problem solver by nature, with diagnostic acumen in budget coordination and development, financial statement preparation, cash flow analysis, sales forecasting and analysis, monthly close procedures, and management reporting. She values the building of collaborative relationships to identify problems and build innovative solutions.

Lynne spends her free time with her two grandchildren, golfing and hiking in Colorado, and honing her culinary skills.

Julie A. Magnuson

Staff Accountant

Julie is a seasoned professional with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from the College of Saint Benedict. Her career journey has honed her expertise in various industries.

Julie’s particular experience in the banking world is a major asset to our clients, through which she gained an aptitude for customer-centric service, a wide range of financial management, and a thorough understanding of banking regulations.

She is also skilled in operations management, the full service client experience, administrative planning, and program development.

Her love of soccer has stayed with her since her youth, serving the local soccer community since 2007 as a coach, board member, administrator, and program developer. She also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family and dog.

Priscilla Suggs

Manager

Priscilla is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 15 years experience in tax, financial advisory, and audit services. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Tarleton State University. She began her career at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission where she discovered one of the largest non-profit fraud cases in Austin, Texas. From there, she served in various auditing and forensic accounting roles for the state of Texas before starting her own accounting practice to provide tax and financial advisory services to clients.

Priscilla is passionate about serving communities of all kinds, especially the underserved. She emphasizes transparency and honest feedback in her work. Those traits combined with her expertise result in a wonderful experience for our clients. She is a tremendous team member that brings so much value and we are lucky to have her.

Karah Boyd

Senior Accountant/Operations Specialist

Karah is a CPA candidate with 15 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance roles, including as a corporate controller. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and health from Texas A&M-Commerce and her master’s degree in accounting and financial management from the University of Maryland. Karah has extensive experience in many industries including oil & gas, transportation, software, professional agencies, restaurants, and real estate.

As our Senior Accountant/Operations Specialist, Karah manages client accounting and tax services, as well as internal operations for our firm. Karah has a sharp analytical mind that brings so much value to our firm and our clients. In addition, Karah is wonderful to work with. She is a great listener who instills a sense of confidence and reliability. We are thrilled to have Karah on our team.

Karah is also passionate about education and donates her time to a non-profit educational foundation as the Director of Finance. Karah and her husband have 3 boys and they are a baseball and football loving family. She loves bonding with her kids and spending time improving their skills whether its a family football game or playing catch. When Karah isn’t busy with her kiddos she enjoys taking on projects to improve her beautiful home in the woods, exercising, and landscaping.
